Summer 2015 charity events in small villages of Ben Tre and Tra Vinh ,VietNam

Going through all notes and pictures from our charity group of friends who kindly represented us and tirelessly volunteered to travel through remote locations to help out humans who are struggling to survive through poverty or hardship, I am writing the blog for these endless humanity works...

The first destination was the Elementary school in Bình Khánh Đông village, Mỏ Cày district, Bến Tre province. Part of the funds was used to get uniform for poor students...

The next destination was Liên Bữu temple, Hòa Lợi villagage, Châu Thành district, Trà Vinh province. The meaningful gifts, each including a box of instant noodle, 10kg of rice and 200.000 VND,were prepared for 50 poor families.

The group also didn't forget to visit other 43 elderly people at in the same area to give out instant noodles, milk and 100.000 VND. On top of it,  500kg of rice was given to the temple to help cook the meals for them.

"You feel good because you're helping others, and the others feel good because they're getting help” always holds true....

Staying in touch and continue to support the orphans we have met last trip...

Anyone who has visited the orphanage at Năng Chơn temple in Sóc Trăng and the young kids at kitchen at Bửu Nghiêm temple in Đồng Tháp hardly forget, the ones with simple wishes to grow up in unconditional love and compassions by their care givers.
We just do our best to ease their worries by donating some funds at least twice a year in the summer and probably the end of the year.
By the end of June this year, we sent 10,000,000 VND to Nang Nhon temple helping out the young orphan lives and felt really blessed and touched by receiving their thank you notes and pictures of kids we have embraced, knowing that our little support may not mean much...but it's still better than not doing any....

Secondly, we also share some of our own funds of 15,000,000 VND to help fixing up the kitchen roof which is in very severe condition after the heavy rainy season in Dong Thap.

Reaching out to orphans and elderly fostered by Buu Thang temple in the highland Daklak...

Buu Thang village is located in Krong Buk district, Dak Lak province run by Sister  Thich Nu Hue Huong.
She has overcome difficulties to give those helpless, disabled, no relatives or abandoned meals and shelters.
Among them, there are 37 elderly, 72 children and 21 disabled or sick people coming from various ethnic groups Kink, Ede, Gia Rai, Tay, or Nung. She also opened a charity clinic for the treatment for the poor.
Each day, while the children are going to school, adults are working around the temple, caring the young children and some are planting on 1 hectare land of the temple.

Giving the small fund  of 10,000,000 Dong VN is the least we can do to get these kids some warmer clothes and the elders rice bags.

Sister Hue Huong really appreciates the generosity of any donation to people who are in need. We will continue touching base with the temple or even visit them in person some day....
